RideVivo lets you record private rides or share live rides with people who have your spectator link. This policy explains the information used to provide that service.
Information we collect
While you have an active ride, RideVivo collects precise location, timestamps, GPS accuracy, speed, elevation when available, ride distance, rider name, and ride title. Viewers may provide a display name, reaction, and short message. We also process short-lived viewer session identifiers to show audience presence.
How we use information
We use this information to record and display the route, calculate ride statistics, operate the live spectator page, deliver viewer reactions, diagnose reliability problems, prevent abuse, and secure the service. RideVivo does not use this information for cross-app advertising or sell personal information.
Location and sharing
Location is collected only after you start a ride and grant permission. Background location lets recording continue while RideVivo is not on screen or the phone is locked. Recording stops when you pause or finish a ride or revoke location permission. Private rides are accessible only using the owner credentials stored on your phone, and their spectator links do not expose the ride. For live rides, anyone with the spectator link may view the information released under your selected real-time or five-minute sharing delay. Share live links only with people you trust.
Replay videos and maps
Replay videos are generated on your phone. Downloading a video does not publish your private ride. If you share it, the recipient or app you select receives the visible route and statistics. Mapbox supplies map imagery; loading maps involves requests to Mapbox for the areas you view.
Storage and service providers
Ride and viewer information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored using infrastructure providers that process it on our behalf. On-device session and diagnostic information may remain until it is replaced, cleared, or the app is removed.
Retention and deletion
We retain ride information while needed to provide and improve RideVivo. You may request deletion of a ride or associated information by contacting us with the rider name, approximate ride date, and spectator link. We may retain limited information where required for security, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
Your choices
You can stop an active ride in the app, revoke location access in your phone’s Settings, avoid sharing a spectator link, and request access to or deletion of your information.
